Kentucky has been approved for the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) Program. Eligible families will begin receiving the benefits June 1st. The P-EBT Program is a financial resource for families with students who lost access to free or reduced-priced school meals due to COVID-19. P-EBT provides households with an EBT card with funds (up to $313.50 per student) to spend on food at home for students. The AISD is a full CEP district, therefore, making all our students eligible for the program. Students currently participating in SNAP or other Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services are automatically enrolled and DO NOT need to enroll. All other eligible school families will be able to opt-in to receive the benefits by applying at https://benefind.ky.gov. We will be utilizing the IC Parent Portal to access student information needed to apply for the benefits to ensure student confidentiality is maintained.
