The AMS 20 Book Challenge
Posted On: Monday, August 10, 2015
Ashland Middle School is challenging all students, staff, and faculty to read 20 books during the 2015-2016 school year. Using the model from The Book Whisperer and Reading in the Wild by Donalyn Miller, all English Language Arts teachers will encourage, monitor, and score the reading progress of Tomcats in grades 6 – 8 to see which students and teams read the most. Students who reach their goal of 20 books from the set genres by May 20, 2016 will be invited to participate in an afternoon at Gattiland. Our goal is to create a life-long love of reading!
