About Mrs. Baker

Mrs. Baker

I was born and raised in Ashland, Kentucky. I received my education in the Ashland Public Schools. As a student in the Ashland schools, I attended Oakview Elementary, Putnam Junior High, and Paul G. Blazer High School.

After graduating from Blazer, I attended Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky. I received two degrees from Georgetown during my four years there--one in Elementary Education and one in Business Administration & Economics. I then returned home to Ashland and began working on my Masters and also worked as a substitute teacher in the Ashland Schools. I received my Masters degree from Morehead State University.

I began my full time teaching career in 1985. My first year was spent as a long-term substitute teaching third grade at Crabbe Elementary. The next year I came home to Oakview Elementary where I have been a Primary teacher ever since!
