Title I - In the Know Night

On Tuesday evening, April 24, 2018 at 5:00 pm the district will be hosting a Title I informational seminar.  The session will take place at the KYOVA Mall.  Questions regarding Infinite Campus, kindergarten, school readiness and much more will be addressed.  We hope you will mark your calendar and join us.

WKU Center for Gifted Studies Summer Camp Opportunities

June 10-22

The Summer Camp for Academically Talented Middle School Students (SCATS) is for students completing grades 6-8.

June 24-July 14

The Summer Camp for Verbally and Mathematically Precocious Youth (VAMPY) is for students completing grades 7-10 with qualifying ACT of SAT scores.

July 9-13

Camp Innovate is a day camp for children completing grades 3-5.

New KY Immunization Requirements coming in 2018

Effective July 1, 2018 all students in kindergarten through twelfth grade must show proof of having received two doses of Hepatitis A vaccine to attend school, and students age 16 or older, must show proof of having received two doses of Meningococcal ACWY vaccine (MenACWY) to attend school.  Please refer to the attached document for more information.

McKinney-Vento Grant available for homeless assistance

The Ashland Independent School District receives the McKinney-Vento grant. This grant allows our schools to help families who are in transition or homeless. If you are homeless or in transition and you need assistance please call Christine Scott, homeless coordinator at 606-327-2706.
